The Inkwell Beach House was in a good location close to Oak Bluffs. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable, breakfast was good, however we had to request some of the basics such as napkins and silverware.

"Wonderful"
Location, location, location! Situated across from Ocean Park you are only a few steps from doing yoga with Christopher, going in the water with the polar bears or just sitting on the beautiful porch enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the water and the world go by. Ask the lovely Coleen to make you the scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese for breakfast!

The breakfast was exceptional. Our host, Tee, was very accommodating and sweet. The location put us within walking distance of the town. The view from the room was amazing!

We came during off-season in March, and so naturally the island and the hotel were quiet, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here during peak season! The location is perfect, water front, easy to get to, and the staff is very friendly. Easily within walking distance to the main shops and restaurants in Oak Bluffs, and it's right across the street from the beach. Plus the rooms are good size, and the bed was very comfortable.

EXCELLENT view! The bed was super comfortable, the room was missing the fridge. Finally got one put in. The stairs were hard to go up, but manageable. Our staff were super friendly. Would've liked to have seen more modern features, but quaint none the less.

We want to say that Colleen did any extraordinary job taking care of us while we were there. She helped us with all our questions and needs. The scrambled eggs cooked to order were an unexpected treat. From what we could tell she was doing everything and she was great!

Perfect location- across the street from a beach, close to the Oak Bluffs ferry, walking distance to restaurants, bus to Edgartown and Vineyard Haven at the door. Parking is on the street. Huge front porch for coffee or wine while watching the water. Old-fashioned house at the beach- nothing fancy.

We have enjoyed our stay at the guesthouse. It's an old building with character. Our room was nicely furnished and the bathroom was also very well equipped. Especially the terrace, facing the sea is a great place to read a book.

We loved the location. We were across the street from the beach, Inkwell Beach, to be exact. We were within walking distance from Oak Bluffs' city center and loved the access to shops and restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable. The Inkwell Beach Cottage staff was pleasant and helpful.

Quaint, great view, convenient, super friendly attentive staff, water filling station, borrowable amenities ( beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, dishes) clean comfortable cozy room. Wonderful front porch to enjoy the view! A/c unit in window was nice and cool.

Inkwell beach cottage is about as charming as it gets in Martha’s Vineyard. The front porch, views of the sound, and secret garden like landscaping are worth it alone to stay here. We cannot say enough incredible things about the staff, especially Kahleen (I apologize for my spelling if not correct) ! She balanced beautifully checking to make sure we had everything we needed while maintaining a peaceful environment at the cottage. We arrived very early on the ferry and were greeted with fresh towels for the beach and storage for our bags. Once back from our day, our beach suite was ready, extremely clean, and cozy. Prosecco with refreshments awaited us on the porch just in time for happy hour. After a run and swim in the sound, we enjoyed breakfast and coffee on the deck each morning. The location is perfect, walking distance from all the restaurants & sites in oak bluffs. While most guests gather on the porch, it felt very private despite knowing there were no vacancies during our stay. There was plenty of parking right across from the cottage as we drove on the ferry with surfboards and beach gear in tow. Staying at the Inkwell beach cottage made our trip even more special. We will absolutely be back!

Location; friendly staff; guests; breakfast provided and a happy hour. Allowed for homey environment which promoted mingling with other guests Bedroom had a great Seaview as described and requested.
